Chiefs advance as Bills see late field-goal attempt fly wide right

The Kansas City Chiefs have earned a ticket to Baltimore for the AFC Championship Game.

The Chiefs outlasted the Buffalo Bills, 27-24, on Sunday at Highmark Stadium in an absolute masterpiece.

The Bills had a chance to tie the game with less than two minutes left but Tyler Bass’ 44-yard field goal attempt was wide, wide right.

The missed kick came after a 16-play drive that devoured 6:40 of the clock.

The Super Bowl champions are on their way to Baltimore next Sunday to meet the Ravens.

This was the first road playoff game in Patrick Mahomes’ career.

He was 17-of-23 passing for 215 yards with two touchdowns to Travis Kelce.
