The Chicago Bears have found a new backup quarterback in Trevor Siemian, who recently signed a two-year deal.
Siemian, a seventh-round draft pick by the Denver Broncos in 2015, saw starting time from 2016-17. But since his departure from Denver, he’s served mostly in reserve role during stints with the New York Jets and New Orleans Saints.
Siemian recently shared his thoughts on joining the Bears, where he revealed that Chicago holds a special place in his heart. Siemian played college ball at Northwestern and also met his wife there. Now, he’s coming home to Chicago to play at the pro level.
