RAIPUR: Chhattisgarh police and Uttar Pradesh police reportedly jostled for the custody of Zee News anchor Rohit Ranjan at Ghaziabad on Tuesday morning after a state police team reached his residence with an arrest warrant in connection with an FIR registered against him for running a "fake" video of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi linking his comments with the Udaipur killing.
Raipur police has alleged that UP police intervened and forcefully took the alleged accused along with them, obstructing procedures despite state police having a warrant. The Ghaziabad police intervened soon after a Chhattisgarh police team reached the residence of TV news anchor Rohit Ranjan at Indirapuram.
