Chhattisgarh minister Premsai Singh Tekam advocates liquor, says it 'unites people'; 'bad roads prevent accidents'

RAIPUR: Quoting lines of ‘Madhushala’ — the famous book written by Harivanshrai Bachchan — at a de-addiction programme organised by the police, Chhattisgarh school education minister Premsai Singh Tekam drew flak when he said that “liquor unites people, though it should be consumed with self-control”.

The minister was also trolled on social media for finding a ‘blessing in disguise’ in poor road conditions that prevents road accidents while the good roads invite accidents.
