RAIPUR: The Chhattisgarh high court has ordered Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to refer the case of former first-class bowler T P Sudhindra, who is serving a life ban for alleged ‘spot-fixing’, to the BCCI ombudsman and granted six months to the ombudsman to take a decision on the remittance sought by the cricketer.
The HC has granted liberty to the cricketer to present fresh facts and evidence directly to the ombudsman. According to BCCI’s constitution, the ombudsman cannot take any such matter directly for consideration as it would have to be routed via the apex council of the BCCI.
