Cheryl shared a rare selfie on social media this week, in which she teased that she'd enjoyed quite a bit of cake on her birthday – with a large slice even seen in the photo.

The singer, now 39, received an outpouring of well-wishes on her birthday Thursday June 30, which the former Girls Aloud member teased had been the "best one yet".

The special occasion saw her share a selfie with her 3.5 million followers on Instagram, with the Brit Award winner thanking fans for their birthday wishes in the recent post.
