Cheryl Cole has returned to Instagram after more than a month away to discuss Sarah Harding's last wish with her fans.
The singer, 38, paid tribute to her late Girls Aloud band member, Sarah Harding, who died in September 2021 after a battle with breast cancer. She was just 39 when she died.
Speaking to the camera in a post on her Instagram stories, Cheryl said: "Around this time last year when Sarah was really sick we were all desperately trying to find ways to help her, comfort her, you feel so helpless in times like that and one of the only things she really wanted was a gala dinner.

"While that's underway we felt like we could be doing more and we decided to do a Race for Life for Sarah at Hyde Park on the 24th of July and I know so many of you wanted to support her, you were helping her all the way through her illness and we'd really love it if you could join us there.
"Come, walk with us for 5 miles, people are doing it virtually too. We hope to see you there."
Cheryl and fellow band members Nadine Coyle and Nicola Roberts will take part in the event. Kimberley cannot make it, so will do a Race for Life at home, according to the website.
