Cheryl has announced a shock career change as she revealed a solemn new look.
The Girls Aloud star, 39, has just bagged a role in 2.22 A Ghost Story, playing the role of Jenny.
The mum-of-one will be treading the boards from January next year in the spooky show, which has already starred the likes of Lily Allen and Laura Whitmore.
Fans couldn't get over how different the star looked in a promo for the play in which Cheryl stares gloomily at the camera - dressed in pink.
The move makes a stark change for the Geordie, who is used to belting out songs, including Fight for this Love and Parachute.
Cheryl will be taking over the role of Jenny from former Love Island host Laura.
Sharing the news on Instagram, the star gushed: "This is a totally new experience for me.
"I'm so excited to be starring in the west end thriller @222 ghoststory! I will be playing the role of Jenny from January - April!
"I went to see the show with the previous cast and LOVED IT! It is a totally new and exciting experience for me so if your'e looking for a fun night out and some entertainment in your new year, tickets are available now."
Love Island's Laura congratulated Cheryl on her news, tweeting: "It's the best, your'e going to love it!"
While Giovanna Fletcher, who also starred in the show: "Whoooop! A fresh Jenny dance. Welcome to the family!"
The former Girls Aloud star will make her West End debut alongside People Just Do Nothing’s Hugo Chegwin as Ben, Horrible Histories actress Louise Ford as Lauren and theatre star Scott Karim as Sam for a 14-week run from January 21 at the Lyric Theatre.
Cheryl comes into the role with a bit of acting experience.
The star previously played herself in Hollywood movie What To Expect When You're Expecting and had a bit part as a ruthless music agent in 2020 film Four Kids And It.
But Cheryl's got big shoes to fill in 2.22 as Lily Allen earned rave reviews and a Best Actress nomination at the Olivier Awards for her portrayal of Jenny in 2021.
The play tells the story of protagonist Jenny, who believes her new home is haunted, but hubby Sam remains sceptical.
The couple argue with their dinner guests, BFF Lauren and new partner Ben before deciding to stay awake until 2.22am to find out what's really going on.
Cheryl's new acting gig marks a big move for the star who has spent years out of the spotlight looking after her son Bear, five, who she shares with One Direction star Liam Payne.
Fans last saw the the singer as a judge on BBC show The Greatest Dancer in 2019 - before the show was axed the following year after two series.
