CHENNAI: A man has lodged a complaint with the Madhavaram police alleging that he received threat calls from an unidentified caller asking him to withdraw a bribery complaint which he lodged against an assistant engineer four years ago.
The aggrieved, Malakondiah, 42, of Madhavaram, said in his complaint that in 2018 he was looking for a temporary electricity connection for his newly-built house and approached the TNEB office. But officials there instead of providing him a connection kept prolonging the process and asked him for a bribe of 4,000.
