Chemical firm to cease operations at Grangemouth site putting nearly 400 jobs at risk

Almost 400 jobs have now been placed at risk after a chemical manufacturer disclosed plans to shut down all operations at its Scottish Grangemouth facility.

The announcement comes just over a year after Syngenta, owned by Chinese state firm Sinochem, secured more than £2 million in Scottish Enterprise funding to expand the site.
