Our man Garry Owen is all over the odds this week and picks out his best bets and selections every day right here. Here's his day four tips.

Cheltenham Day Four Tips

1.30 LOSSIEMOUTH

2.10 PEMBROKE

2.50 FAVORI DE CHAMPDOU

3.30 AHOY SENOR

4.10 BRAIN POWER

4.50 IMPERVIOUS

5.30 COOL SURVIVOR

AHOY SENOR (3:30) can record a famous win for Scotland in the Gold Cup on Day Four of the Cheltenham Festival. Lucinda Russell has already enjoyed a magnificent week thanks to Corrach Rambler in the Ultima. And the Arlary Ace can now lift chasing’s biggest prize of all with this imposing son of Dylan Thomas. The gelding first hit the headlines when landing a Grade 1 novice hurdle at Aintree at odds of 66-1. The eight-year-old didn’t really cover himself in glory when unseating on his fencing bow at Carlisle.

However, he immediately atoned with a merciless defeat of Mr Incredible in a Grade 2 at Newbury. The bay was then unlucky to meet Bravemansgame in the Grade 1 Kauto Star Chase at Kempton. He gained swift compensation when routing National hero Noble Yeats in the Towton at Wetherby. The chaser then found only L’homme Presse too good in the Brown Advisory here 12 months ago.

He soon bagged a top-level win of his own when turning the tables on his rival in style at Aintree. The superstar was undone by his own waywardness when flopping on his first three runs this term. However, he bounced back when decisively defeating Sounds Russian in the Cotswolds Chase here. The Perth raider looks tailor-made for the Blue Riband so he can gallop into history under Derek Fox.

LOSSIEMOUTH (1:30) can give Willie Mullins more Festival glory in the Triumph Hurdle. The four-year-old earned a transfer to Team Closutton when hacking up from Nuit Bleue at Auteuil. The filly justified her price tag by routing Zarak The Brave on debut for her new yard at Fairyhouse.

She shrugged off a promotion to Grade 1 level when hammering Gala Marceau at Leopardstown. The grey was then expected to confirm her superiority in a similar event back at the Foxrock venue. However, she had to make do with second behind her old rival after enduring a luckless passage. Rich Ricci’s raider showed a cracking attitude that day so she can exact her revenge in round three.

PEMBROKE (2:10) can continue Dan Skelton’s recent domination of the McCoy County Hurdle. The seven-year-old clearly needed the run when seventh on his first timber outing at Chepstow.

However, the gelding put that experience to good use when crushing Magic Wave at Wetherby. The bay took his form up yet another notch when putting Amrons Sage to the sword at Ludlow. He ran well again when second to fellow improver Rock My Way in a Grade 2 on Trials Day here. The novice didn’t stay 2m 4f so he can take cash-in on an attractive opening mark down in trip.

FAVORI DE CHAMPDOU (2:50) can shade the Albert Bartlett Novice Hurdle for Gordon Elliott. The gelding looked likely to relish tackling three miles when a good second on debut at Galway. The eight-year-old confirmed that impression when easily defeating Silver Gazette at Thurles.

He stayed upwardly mobile when caning Harry Des Ongrais in a better event at the same venue. The bay kept up the good work when brushing aside Letsbeclearaboutit in a Grade 2 at Limerick. There is plenty more to come from this bold-galloper who can deny some promising opponents.

The Cullentra Maestro can double-up with COOL SURVIVOR (5:30) in the Martin Pipe Hurdle. The gelding looked smart when comfortably despatching Patricks Hill on debut at Punchestown.

He gained a lot more fans when totally outclassing Granny Lowrie upped to Listed level at Cork. The six-year-old was then unlucky to meet Hiddenvalley Lake in a Grade 3 at the Mallow venue.

The son of Westerner put in another respectable shift when fourth in a Leopardstown Grade 1. The Gigginstown raider doesn’t lack pace so he can take advantage of a drop in class over 2m 4f. Warren Ewing’s BRAIN POWER (4:10) is the smart choice in the Foxhunters’ Challenge Cup.

The gelding was a good hurdler for Nicky Henderson, taking valuable races at Ascot and Sandown. He became an even better chaser, finishing runner-up to Footpad in the 2018 Arkle Trophy here.

However, the 11-year-old then lost his way over both fences and timber for Team Seven Barrows. The veteran has been revitalised by his current connections, winning five times in top Irish points. The bay should be primed for this race so he rates a value bet in a brutally competitive contest.

IMPERVIOUS (4:50) can live up to her name for Colm Murphy in the Mrs Paddy Power Chase. The useful hurdler kicked off her fencing career by thrashing Cayd Boy over two miles at Wexford. She boosted her reputation by easily defeating the high-class Dinoblue in Grade 2 company at Cork.

The mare didn’t mind stepping up to 2m 4f when cosily denying Journey With Me at Punchestown. That race is working out extremely well so this strong-traveller can enjoy her first Grade 1 success.
