Chelsea's 19-year-old midfielder Cesare Casadei has been earmarked for a possible loan move in the January transfer window.
Casadei has impressed for the development squad since signing from Inter Milan in a £12.6million deal back in the summer which added to a wide period of youth investment by the club's new ownership. Casadei was an eye-catching addition, along with Omari Hutchison from London rivals Arsenal as Chelsea's new era embarked on a mission to scoop up as many promising young talents for sizeable fees.
Most notably Casadei caught the attention of supporters on social media when a clip of his long-range strike against League One side Peterborough in the EFL Trophy last month, showcased the high potential Chelsea had invested in.

Casadei was also one of many that travelled with first-team members to Abu Dhabi last week for warm-weather training in preparation for the return of Premier League football shortly after Christmas.
The Italian got off the bench in the friendly against Aston Villa on Sunday, along with 11 other academy hopefuls who either started or came from the bench for Graham Potter. And according to the Athletic, he is being considered for a short-term move in January.
Discussions over a loan midway through the season do not seem ridiculous given the impressive performances of Casadei and the natural next step being a route for regular senior football away from Cobham. For the midfielder, this feels like the right move and you would suspect there would be takers in the Championship and potentially across Europe.
It is gazing out wider where maybe more of a dilemma arises over opting for a loan, or looking to promote into Potter's struggling first-team squad.
Lewis Hall has been promoted to a fully-fledged first-teamer after his promising performances in November against Manchester City and Newcastle, fuelling hopes that he could make the starting lineup against Bournemouth on the 27th of December. A loan for Hall makes little sense at this point given his rise in 2022 and what he could offer to a Chelsea team in dire need of some fresh energy.
Hutchinson could also provide a different dynamic to Chelsea's attack, showing good technique on the ball and an ability to make things happen, the winger appears to be the type of wide maverick the Blues have been seriously lacking for some time.
Other names to add here for potential loans are Dion Rankine, another on the production line of promising wide players, midfielder Charlie Webster, who was rumoured for a loan back in August, and Malik Mothersille who featured against Aston Villa and has scored six goals in nine appearances so far this season.
