Chelsea Women have announced their second signing of the summer with Kadeisha Buchanan set to join the Blues from Lyon at the start of July. The Canadian is the second defender that the Blues have added to their ranks, following the signing of Eve Perisset earlier in the week.
Buchanan has signed a three-year deal having spent the last five and a half years with Lyon where she lifted five Champions League trophies, as the French side defeated Barcelona in the most recent showpiece event. The 26-year-old central defender has made 118 international appearances and earned a goal medal in the 2020 Olympics, as well as being nominated for the Ballon d'Or and featured in the FIFPro Women's World XI.
The Toronto-born star wasted little time letting the Blues-faithful know that she hopes to bring a Champions League victory to west London. Buchanan believes that everything is already in place to do so.
