Chelsea prepare to face managerless Southampton at Stamford this weekend in the Premier League as Graham Potter's side look to improve on his side's current form. Both teams have been in woeful form of late with just two wins between them in recent matches but one side is showing a lot more promise than the other.
The Blues are the clear favourites at 4/11 with Betfred despite their poor form while struggling Saints are 8/1 outsiders and a draw is 18/5. The hosts lost the reverse fixture 2-1 back when Thomas Tuchel was in charge and they have not lost consecutive league matches against the south coast side since December 1993.
The Saints have sacked their second manager this season after Nathan Jones was shown the door earlier this week after just 14 matches in charge winning just five of them. The club are at the foot of the Premier League table with four points away from safety and are now one of the favourites for relegation. Talks with Jesse Marsch broke down this week too so caretaker Ruben Selles will be at the helm and has gone on record to say he wants to take over.
