Chelsea are set to meet Liverpool in the FA Cup final on Saturday, May 14, with all of the details having been confirmed ahead of the showpiece clash next month. The Premier League rivals are set to face off at Wembley Stadium having booked their place in the final earlier this month.
Whilst the date has been confirmed, Thomas Tuchel’s men have also been told a number of further details. Kick-off is scheduled for 4:45pm, whilst Craig Pawson is set to oversee the match as referee.
Elsewhere, the Blues have also been told the colours they are set to wear for the clash. It has been confirmed that Chelsea will don their yellow away strip, whilst Liverpool will wear their traditional red colours.

Of course, Tuchel will hope to lead the Blues to the trophy, with the side having been left frustrated on their last two visits to the FA Cup final in each of the last two years. They were at first defeated by Arsenal during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, whilst Leicester City ran-out winners at Wembley Stadium last term - Youri Tielemans’ wonder-strike proving to be the difference between the two teams.
So far this season, Chelsea have defeated Chesterfield, Plymouth Argyle, Luton Town, Middlesbrough and Premier League rivals Crystal Palace to reach this season’s final. Liverpool have managed to get past Shrewsbury Town, Cardiff City, Norwich City, Nottingham Forest and Manchester City en route to the Wembley showpiece.
Intriguingly, next month’s meeting under the arch is a replay of this season’s Carabao Cup final. Following a 0-0 draw after extra-time, Liverpool claimed victory via a penalty shootout.
A number of Blues’ players have already signalled their intentions to claim revenge against Jurgen Klopp’s men, a call that has been backed by Tuchel.
Speaking earlier this week, the German said: “Good! Of course we feel it. Was so close. Wasn’t last season or two years ago. Was a couple of weeks we lost in the same stadium in a pretty similar occasion.
"Now it is an even bigger cup. Of course it’s a traditional cup, it has this similarities and of course it seems like you can come back. That’s what it’s about in sports, if you lost against a team in such short notice it feels a bit like ‘come on let's turn things around quickly’. Call it revenge, it doesn’t matter. We all have this competitive feeling, it’s clear.”
