Chelsea 3-0 Everton

Guro Reiten scored two penalties and Erin Cuthbert added the third goal as Emma Hayes’ side restored their three-point lead at the top of the Women’s Super League.

The Norway midfielder stepped up to score from the spot after 27 minutes, having been brought down in the area by Clare Wheeler, who also conceded the second penalty in the 72nd minute for a foul on new signing Mayra Ramírez.

Everton manager Brian Sorensen was shown a red card for dissent after protesting the decision, before Cuthbert latched on to Mia Fishel’s through ball to fire past Courtney Brosnan for the hosts’ third goal.
