Arsenal completed a deal to sign Italian central midfielder Jorginho from Premier League rivals Chelsea on January transfer deadline day.
The former Napoli star joined the north London outfit for a deal worth £10million in guaranteed fees with a further £2million in add-ons, football.london understands. His contract with the Gunners will be until the summer of 2024, with the club holding the option of an extra year.
Jorginho joins the likes of David Luiz, Pet Cech and Willian to swap west London for north in recent years but the Blues appeared to poke fun at Mikel Arteta's side with their parting message to the 31-year-old, making sure to highlight the player's role in their emphatic win over Arsenal in the Europa League final back in 2019.
