With the UK government finally approving the £4.25bn takeover of Chelsea, it's time for the club to get busy in the transfer market as Thomas Tuchel sets about planning a big rebuild of his squad at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues boss is desperately in needs of defensive reinforcements with Marcos Alonso and even Cesar Azpilicueta potentially joining Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen on the way out of the club.
But Tuchel wants other areas strengthened too as he fears Chelsea are potentially falling behind their rivals having failed to win any domestic silverware this season and exiting the Champions League in the quarter-finals. Mirror Sport has rounded up the latest Chelsea transfer news and rumours.
Battle for Perisic
Chelsea look well-stocked in forward areas with a logjam up front and plenty of options on either wing. But there are doubts about the future of the likes of Christian Pulisic, Timo Werner and even record signing Romelu Lukaku. And Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport claims Chelsea are ready to make Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic an offer. The 33-year-old is out of contract at San Siro this summer and the paper claim that Perisic has yet to respond to the Nerazzurri’s offer of a new deal. Perisic has also been linked with Juventus and is on Newcastle's radar as he explores his options.

Barca told Alonso fee
Chelsea will demand £17m to allow Alonso to leave for Barcelona, according to Mundo Deportivo, a newspaper which is allegedly the mouthpiece for the Catalan club. They claim Alonso is keen to leave Stamford Bridge and that his agent held talks with Barca this week to smooth the way to a potential deal. But it is added that the Spanish giants feel the asking price is too high and that it must come down. Barcelona also want to sign Chelsea captain Azpilicueta and believe he will request a transfer now the club's takeover is going through.
Hammers eye youngster
Chelsea also have some big decisions to make over some of their younger players, including striker Armando Broja. He impressed on loan at Southampton this season and returns to the club eager to fight for a first-team spot. But with new owner Todd Boehly keen to bolst Thomas Tuchel's transfer war chest with sales, Broja's future is in doubt. And talkSPORT claim David Moyes is weighing up a £25m bid for the player, who is also wanted by Saints.
