Thomas Tuchel will be disappointed with how his side have returned from the international break this week, slumping to defeat against Brentford and Real Madrid back-to-back. While focus will remain on Champions League qualification alongside the quarter-final second leg and an FA Cup semi-final, the Blues may be keeping one eye on potential developments for next season.
The side started off their Premier League campaign in fine form but have since slipped to third and next season presents another opportunity to put together a consistent title challenge. Several positions remain as potential problem areas for the Blues, with a number of players linked.
With that being said, football.london has taken a look at the latest transfer rumours emanating out of Stamford Bridge.

Barcelona eye Chelsea ace
Barcelona are eyeing a move for Chelsea midfield star Mason Mount, according to Footmercato. The 23-year-old has been a stalwart in the side since making his breakthrough in 2019, playing 25 Premier League games this season with eight goals and seven assists.
His performances have caught the eye, with new Blaugrana boss Xavi Hernandez monitoring a transfer in the summer. The former midfielder has begun a rebuild of sorts at the Nou Camp, with a number of signings in January helping them reach second in La Liga.
Blues keen on Ajax star
Chelsea are among the sides interested in Ajax defender Jurrien Timber for the summer, reports the Daily Star. The Blues have been linked with a number of centre-back targets for the end of the season, with as many as three of their own defenders set to leave as free agents.
Timber, 20, is one of those linked, however Premier League rivals Arsenal and Manchester United are also keen. Given the Red Devils reports approach for Ajax manager Erik ten Hag, Thomas Tuchel could play a part in ruining his transfer plans if he were to land the youngster.
Chelsea frontrunners for £50m move
Chelsea are said to be the frontrunners in the race to sign Monaco talent Aurelien Tchouameni in the summer, according to AS, via Sport Witness. The 22-year-old has been reported as a long-term target to freshen up Thomas Tuchel’s ageing midfield department.
The Ligue 1 club are said to be holding out for €60million (£50million) to let him leave in the summer. While the Blues are leading the chase, they are also joined by Real Madrid and PSG.
