Chelsea told how to complete £21m Ben Chilwell backup plan as Mo Salah makes transfer decision

Chelsea could be one of the Premier League's busiest clubs this summer with plenty of uncertainty throughout the first-team squad. Todd Boehly's early days are likely to be dominated by transfer planning with a number of high-profile names reportedly targeted already.

The American-led consortium, who agreed a £4.25billion deal to buy the west London club on Monday, are expected to 'push for A-list signings' to mark a new era at Stamford Bridge, according to the MailOnline. And, with the new ownership group eager to bolster the Blues' armoury, The Telegraph indicate that, after player sales are taken into account, Thomas Tuchel is set to have £200million at his disposal to strengthen his side.

The departures of Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen have already been confirmed by the Chelsea boss, but they may not be the last to leave. Cesar Azpilicueta, Marcos Alonso, Christian Pulisic, Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech have all been linked with moves away from Chelsea, and it remains to be seen whether the first-team will consist of whom once the transfer window closes.

Nevertheless, it is a challenge those concerned will have to be up for. With that in mind, football.london has taken a look at the latest names to be linked with moves to Stamford Bridge.

Mo Salah transfer saga

Chelsea are among three potential Premier League clubs that could poach Liverpool's Mohamed Salah. The Blues have reportedly emerged as a potential destination for Salah, whose contract at Anfield is set to expire next summer. The 29-year-old is keen for a Premier League move if there is no future for him in Merseyside, according to The Athletic.

Skriniar decision

Chelsea and Tottenham have been handed an update on the future of Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar ahead of the summer transfer window. The 27-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League in recent years, though a deal has never materialised.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the trio of Premier League sides have watched the centre-half this term. Skriniar has addressed the rumours and ruled out a departure from the San Siro.

Speaking to Pravda, via Football Italia, the Inter Milan stalwart said: "I’d love to do something similar to what Marek Hamsik did at Napoli. My future is at Inter, I have a contract and nothing has changed. There are transfer rumours every six months, but there’s nothing specific. I am very satisfied at Inter.”

Sosa release clause

Chelsea have been told how to complete the signing of Stuttgart left-back Borna Sosa in the upcoming transfer window, with Thomas Tuchel keen to undergo a rebuild this summer. The west Londoners are set to lose out on several defenders in the coming weeks; Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen are set to leave as free agents, while Marcos Alonso has been linked to a departure.

In February, football.london reported that Sosa has been by Blues scouts this season to monitor his progress. Should Chelsea look to acquire the defender's services this summer, his £21.3million release will have to be paid, claim German outlet Bild.
