Chelsea’s current transfer business may have been put on halt, but the Blues are still being linked with a number of players. One of which is Leeds United winger Raphinha, who has caught the eye of a few top teams in Europe.
If Thomas Tuchel is hoping that his side can be a serious contender for the 25-year-old, then he will have to hope that the current ownership debacle is concluded in time for the summer. The west London outfit are currently unable to sign players, due to their current sporting licence after the UK Government placed sanctions on Russian owner Roman Abramovich.
The 55-year-old has since put the club up for sale, with Sky News reporting that the next set of final bids are to be presented to Raine Bank by April 11. Once the sale has gone through, the club should return to operating normally, though whether we see the same scale of investment remains to be seen.
