Chelsea takeover: Catalina Kim engages in Q&A involving Nick Candy role, Thomas Tuchel and Tottenham

Catalina Kim, CEO of C&P Sports Ltd, and part of the consortium also involving Nick Candy attempting to buy Chelsea has been engaging with supporters on social media.

Candy’s consortium already had backing from the South Korean group prior to the increased offer of over £2bn earlier this week, lodging the bid with US merchant bank, Raine Group.

Following the sanctions imposed on Roman Abramovich, bidders are awaiting confirmation they will be shortlisted in the race to buy the European and world champions.

The Ricketts family, who were confident in their attempts to buy the club, are flying to London in a bid to assure supporters they are suitable candidates to run Chelsea after being met by backlash after historic racist emails sent by the family’s patriarch, Joe Ricketts, and criticism about their running of the Chicago Cubs.

As potential buyers await the next developments , Kim was active on Twitter and answered a number of questions from supporters.

When asked if she was a Tottenham fan, Kim wrote “I am not. I live in Chelsea.”

On her confidence the Candy bid was shortlisted, Kim responded “Always.”

On the subject of Thomas Tuchel, she wrote “Tuchel - love him.”

Another supporter asked Kim to outline where each member of the group stood should their bid be successful, Kim wrote: “Nick- ensuring strong relations of CFC in UK/Europe & Stadium redevelopment plan related.

“Myself - ensuring CFC’ commercial revenues keep coming in for its stable operation.”

“Financial investors - sharing their knowledge in sports operation and basically funding our plan for CFC .”
