Thomas Tuchel has said that Reece James must undergo examination ahead of Chelsea's clash with Norwich after suffering a setback.
The Blues star made an impactful comeback from his hamstring injury featuring in consecutive games against Liverpool, Luton Town and Burnley, recording a goal and assist against the Clarets.
However, James could only manage 70 minutes on the pitch at Turf Moor and it turns out he was feeling some discomfort during the match, and has missed first team training since.
Tuchel said: "Everybody was on the training pitch today except for Ben Chilwell and Reece James, who has some muscular problems after his three games.
"Not his injured leg but the other leg. It needs examination. We thought maybe he could be on the pitch today but he couldn't.
"He felt it during the match, that's why we took him out and it didn't get better so we are worried. Still we need more details and some more information so today will be further examinations. It was obvious what he gives to our team and what he can give to our team so not good news. A setback for sure, I hope not a big one."
Cesar Azpilicueta, Marcos Alonso and Callum Hudson-Odoi all returned to training ahead of the trip to Norwich and will be in contention to start, while Ben Chilwell was also featured in club photographs at Cobham.
Chilwell remains out but undertook some individual work outside on Tuesday, completing some exercises with a ball for the first time since his surgery at the beginning of the year
Tuchel made it clear it was nothing to get too excited about however.
The German coach said: "I think the one minute he was out on the grass they took a photo. The weather made it possible he could do the excercise outside. They made him smell the grass and get a bit excited, but nothing close to football or team training."
