Chelsea stars Antonio Rudiger, Thiago Silva and Jorginho nominated for London Football Awards

Three Chelsea players have been nominated for the Premier League Player of the Season at the London Football Awards while Thomas Tuchel is up for the managerial award.

The awards cover the 2021/22 campaign and Jorginho, Thiago Silva and Antonio Rudiger have all been nominated for the big prize.

West Ham duo Declan Rice and Jarrod Bowen make up the remaining two spaces on the shortlist, while David Moyes, Patrick Vieira, Marco Silva and Sutton United boss Matt Gray round off the managerial shortlist.

Chelsea have been comfortably the pick of the London bunch over the past 12 months, winning the Champions League and reaching finals of the Carabao Cup and FA Cup as well.

With Jorginho adding a European Championship winners' medal with Italy in that time, it is easy to see why the midfielder has made the cut.

The 30-year-old has also been nominated for the Ballon d'Or and FIFA Men's Player of the Year, and he will be hoping to finally land an individual prize at the ceremony in March.

Given the Blues' resolute defence, it is no surprise to see two members of Tuchel's back three make the cut as well.

Conor Gallagher has also been nominated for the Young Player of the Year award.

The Cobham graduate has been in exceptional form since moving to Crystal Palace on loan, scoring seven goals and assisting three more, and looks set to be included in Chelsea's first-team next season.

In the women's game, the Blues are also well represented with Sam Kerr nominated for the WSL Player of the Year.

Chelsea are also nominated for Community Project of the Year alongside Arsenal and QPR.

Ahead of the ceremony on March 3 at the Roundhouse in Camden, there will be a public vote to decide a Goal of the Season out of the London clubs. Mateo Kovacic may well have his eye on that one following his screamer against Liverpool.
