Chelsea star Raheem Sterling sent Bukayo Saka and Erling Haaland instruction amid slow start

Raheem Sterling's start to life at Chelsea has been one of struggle and difficulty. The 27-year-old has struggled to hit the ground running in the capital since his £47.5 million move from Manchester City and questions over his place in Graham Potter's starting 11 have started to arise.

Sterling has made 14 appearances for the Blues, 10 in the Premier League and four in the Champions League, scoring four goals in total. However, following the sacking of Thomas Tuchel, the England international has failed to find the back of the net and has sparked doubt over his ability in Graham Potter's side.

Frustrations continued to increase over the weekend when he was restored to Chelsea's side against Manchester United, despite failing to make much difference in the 0-0 draw at Brentford previously. Sterling's performance, alongside Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's outing, was criticised after the draw, with only two shots on target against David de Gea.

Chelsea's persistent troubles to create chances in the final third has sparked rumours re-linking Cristiano Ronaldo with a possible January move to Stamford Bridge . But right now, Sterling has the task of turning his form around in west London ahead of next month's World Cup - where the forward will be eyeing up a starting place in Gareth Southgate's side.

The Blues have three more league games to tick off before the mid-season break and Sterling has received a warning about reaching the same heights of compatriot Bukayo Saka. The Arsenal winger has endured the best form of his career this season and former Chelsea centre-back Frank Leboeuf has compared the two's attacking threat.

Speaking to Fair Betting Sites, Lebouef said: "I'm never sure what to expect from Raheem Sterling. He has incredible pace, and he can be genius sometimes and then be so clumsy straight after.

"I said I had doubts that he would really change Chelsea's attack dramatically, but he has scored goals and maybe I was wrong about that but now I think actually, I was right. His talent is evident but there's a lack of consistency which is what's need at the highest level.

"When you talk about Erling Haaland, it's crazy consistency and that's what I want to see from Sterling, instead of him disappearing for half an hour or 45 minutes. Like how you see Bukayo Saka at Arsenal, when he gets the ball, you always feel something is going to happen.

"He tries something special, and I also see it from his teammates (Gabriel) Martinelli and Gabriel Jesus. They're a real triple threat and I'm looking for that at Chelsea, but I can't see it."
