AC Milan are looking to repeat their trick of signing Fikayo Tomori by landing another Chelsea star this summer, according to reports. The Rossoneri were able to land the Cobham academy star after a successful loan spell, going on to impress in Serie A.
It comes ahead of a summer of change for all associated with the Blues. Owner Todd Boehly is set to take charge of transfer business for the short term, with chairman Bruce Buck and director Marina Granovskaia both stepping down from their roles.
When it comes to the squad itself, a number of key players have already left, leaving gaps that will have to be filled. There will also be a desire from Thomas Tuchel to freshen up his options after his side limped to third place at the end of the previous season.

On the task ahead, the German coach said: “We are rebuilding, not improving the squad. We are rebuilding. This is always challenging but we are up for the challenge.”
While the immediate thoughts drift to potential incomings at the club, there will be a desire to trim the squad into a shape that suits Tuchel. That means departures, with reports suggesting Romelu Lukaku could be one of the first to leave on loan as the head coach looks to make changes to his forward line.
Another one who could follow is Hakim Ziyech, with Fabrizio Romano reporting that Chelsea are willing to let the winger leave in the coming weeks. Gianluca Di Marzio adds that Serie A champions AC Milan are interested in a move and talks are already underway with the player’s representatives.
It could be a move the Blues regret, but that will depend on both the performances of the 29-year-old as well as those of any replacements.
