Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly is set to make further changes at the club after already completing a number of overhauls since taking over. The American was joined by a consortium to create Boehly-Clearlake that won the race to buy the Blues last May, ending the tenure of Roman Abramovich.
Sweeping change has already started at Stamford Bridge, with a whole new recruitment team built behind the scenes, switches to the medical staff and a switch in the head coach and playing squad. The idea for Boehly is to get the best of the best in at the west London club to have them at the peak once again.
That doesn't appear to be limited to just those departments though as the co-owner has switched focus to the playing surface at the stadium. Former groundspeople Jason Griffin and his son Reisse were dismissed from their duties earlier this week as another change was set to be made.
