Chelsea youngster Xavier Mbuyamba, who was once dubbed 'the next Virgil van Dijk', is one of a number of academy exits on deadline day.
The 20-year-old has been keen to leave the Cobham academy since his loan move was denied last January, and has signed a three-year deal with Eredivisie side FC Volendam.
Much was expected of Mbuyamba when he joined the Stamford Bridge club, but his ascent to first-team status never materialised.
Mbuyamba made the first-team matchday squad once, but was never handed a debut despite being poached out of Barcelona's famed La Masia academy.

Due to his stature, ability on the ball and nationality, he was often compared to Van Dijk but is yet to live up to that billing.
His exit is one of a number expected from the academy today, though most will be on loan,
Striker Jayden Wareham is in advanced talks to join Leyton Orient, while attacking midfielder Joe Haigh is completing a medical at Derby County. He will initially play in the Under-21s but be given a pathway to first-team action.
Meanwhile, midfielder-turned-defender Xavier Simons is set to join Hull City having completed a medical and signed contracts over a season-long loan deal.
Norway Under-21s striker Bryan Fiabema is being lined up to join an EFL club on a temporary deal.
