Chelsea are ready to rival Arsenal for Corinthians midfielder Gabriel Moscardo.
The 18-year-old South American is attracting interest from Europe’s top clubs and Chelsea have identified him as their next young transfer target.
Barcelona and Liverpool are also interested in Moscardo, who could cost around £26million.
Chelsea had an £18m bid for him rejected in the summer but are set to revisit a move in January.
Corinthians will wait until after their presidential elections on November 25 before they discuss any potential deal.
The Brazilian season finishes in December and Moscardo then looks set to be on the move.
Chelsea have moved to sign some of the best young talent in the world and Moscardo is viewed as one of the hottest prospects in South America.
He made his senior debut for Corinthians in June and is a Brazil Under-23 international.
Chelsea lead a list of clubs paying huge attention to the Brazilian market and earlier this year they hired former Corinthians chief scout Allyson Marins.
Since being taken over by Todd Boehly and Clearlake, Chelsea have signed two young Brazilian stars - Andrey Santos from Vasco da Gama and Deivid Washington from Santos.
