Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has gone public with his desire to leave Chelsea this summer.
The striker's return to the Premier Leagueg has widely been considered a disaster, who both club and player.
The Blues agreed to part with around £20million to sign a player who six months earlier had joined Barcelona on a free transfer, in a move pushed for by Thomas Tuchel who was then sacked just days later.
Aubameyang found himself out of favour under Graham Potter and has done little to suggest interim head coach Frank Lampard should afford him further chances, and now the striker wants out.
Discussing his future on a TikTok live, the striker said: "I’d like to return to Barcelona… but we will see."
According to reports, Aubameyang is willing to terminate his contract at Chelsea to facilitate a move back to Camp Nou. Barca are open to a reunion, but not for a transfer fee and the player's current salary.
It remains to be seen if Chelsea will write off a £20m striker less than a year after signing him, a decision likely for the incoming manager.
