Chelsea out for revenge in Wembley rematch with Liverpool for FA Cup final, says Christian Pulisic

Christian Pulisic has insisted that Chelsea are more than happy to face Liverpool in the FA Cup final - despite falling to a dramatic defeat in their recent Wembley showdown.

The Reds claimed the Carabao Cup trophy earlier this year after a 0-0 draw gave way to a long penalty shootout, which saw goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga miss the decisive shot.

When asked about facing Liverpool once more at Wembley, Pulisic told reporters: “I think that will be good, we definitely want to play against them again and it will be a really good match, and we're looking forward already to the challenge.

“And hopefully we can get on the better side of them. There's not really been much between us in the matches this season, so we're hoping we can come out on top.

“It's not going to be easy, it's probably going to be another one of those games, and hopefully we can just get the edge on them.”

Sunday’s win over Crystal Palace put the Blues into their fifth FA Cup final in six years, although they have lost three of the previous four.

Pulisic put Chelsea ahead in their 2020 clash with Arsenal before being taken off injured, a scenario he is keen to avoid a repeat of.

“We want to get well-prepared,” he added.

"Obviously we've got other games leading up to that. But we want to be 100 per cent ready to go when the final comes around, and I'm going to do my best to play a part in that and hopefully help us win. I want to play as much as I can now, that's definitely my goal.”
