Chelsea on verge of losing Endrick transfer battle amid PSG and Real Madrid decision

The future of Palmeiras star Endrick is close to being confirmed following the decisions made by Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid. Those two European heavyweights along with Chelsea were the trio of clubs in the race for the wonderkid and one team is seemingly on the verge of agreeing a deal for the 16-year-old given the label of the 'next Neymar'.

Endrick broke onto the scene in the latter stages of Palmeiras' Brazilian Serie A title-winning campaign, with the teenager contributing three goals and one assist from seven games. Not only did he catch headlines for his impressive displays at such a young age but also for what he did after scoring which included copying the celebrations of Man City star Erling Haaland.

The father of Endrick, Douglas, has often provided updates on the future of his son and after rubbishing reports the pair had agreed to look at Madrid's facilities a few weeks ago, he revealed to Fabrizio Romano last week that nothing had been decided as of yet.

He said: "There’s nothing decided for Real Madrid or any other club. We’ve no preference yet. We’ll decide in the next months, the club that will pay what Palmeiras want and show us the best technical project for Endrick, will sign the boy."

Reports often indicated that for much of the transfer race it had been Madrid and Chelsea leading the way with PSG lurking in the background, however it now seems the French giants were preparing a huge double swoop of two wonderkids on the Palmeiras books.

Romano revealed that PSG offered €58million (£50.2m) to Palmeiras for Endrick and €35million (£30.2m) for 15-year-old Palmeiras U17 forward Estevao, but the proposal was rejected with PSG then exiting the race to sign Endrick.

A three-way transfer battle becoming a race between Madrid and Chelsea seemed to be a significant boost for Todd Boehly, but that was quickly eradicated and the reason behind Palmeiras rejecting PSG's bids was seemingly explained.

Madrid's £62million package proposed to Palmeiras for Endrick looks set to be enough for the Brazilian outfit to let their prized asset leave the club, with personal terms entering their final stages as well.

Los Blancos look to have beaten Chelsea to the signing of another Brazilian wonderkid five years on from when they signed Vinicius Jr as an 18-year-old from Flamengo and just last season he scored the goal that won Madrid the Champions League.
