Chelsea are looking for their third manager of the season after sacking Graham Potter.
A home defeat to Aston Villa proved to be the final straw for the owners, who have decided Potter is no longer the right man for the job less than seven months after spending a record £21.5million to bring him to Stamford Bridge from Brighton.
Julian Nagelsmann is the clear frontrunner, according to the bookmakers. The young German made a name for himself first at Hoffenheim while still in his twenties, and then further grew his reputation at RB Leipzig before Bayern Munich came calling two years ago. He didn’t work out for him in Bavaria, though, and he was sacked two weeks ago.
Former Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino is also in the frame, with Chelsea previously linked before Thomas Tuchel got the job in 2021. Other names include Zinedine Zidane and Manchester City’s Pep Guardiola.
