Blues exit FA Cup with 'embarrassing' display
Chelsea were comfortably beaten 4-0 by Manchester City in the FA Cup third round with goals from Riyad Mahrez (x2), Julian Alvarez and Phil Foden sealing their defeat.
City were three goals up after just 30 minutes with the Blues putting in an embarrassing first-half display which saw them exit the FA Cup at their first hurdle.
BBC pundit Alan Shearer did not hold back on Chelsea's performance at Etihad Stadium, labelling them as "embarrassing" and "pathetic", along with many other negative adjectives.

Weghorst message drops Chelsea clue
Manchester United target Wout Weghorst looks to have handed Chelsea a huge boost in the race to sign Borussia Monchengladbach star Marcus Thuram. The Netherlands international has emerged as a surprise target for the Red Devils as they look to replace Cristiano Ronaldo.
Erik ten Hag's side are said to be monitoring the on-loan Burnley striker, who is currently on loan at Besiktas. The 30-year-old scored for the Turkish giants on Saturday in a 2-1 win over Kasimpasa.
After finding the net, Weghorst appeared to bid farewell to the Besiktas fans. He kissed the Besiktas badge, made a heart symbol with his hands and affectionately reached out to the supporters, gesturing that he's sorry.
Weghorst also appeared to say 'bye bye' to the celebrating Besiktas contingent, suggesting that a move to Old Trafford is in full swing and, therefore, potentially taking out one of Chelsea's rivals in the race for Thuram.

Gvardiol predicted to complete Chelsea move
Graham Potter has been reassured by an intermediary, who is said to be involved in finding Josko Gvardiol a new club, that the defender will join Chelsea. The 20-year-old was heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge in the summer but a move collapsed after he penned a new five-year deal with the German giants.
While the west Londoners may look down and out following the arrival of Benoit Badiashile earlier this month, Todd Boehly has been reassured that Gvardiol will end up in west London. Speaking to Calcio Mercato, intermediary Vincenzo Cavaliere said: "In my opinion, yes [Gvardiol is worth €100million (£88.2million).
"A player’s valuation is directly proportional to how much a club is willing to pay for him, and with the prices at which certain players get away, I’d say yes. Gvardiol is 20 years old, he’s a regular in a big club like Leipzig and in the Croatian national team, third in the world. I think he eventually goes to Chelsea."
