Transfer jackpot
Chelsea may have signed Enzo Fernandez for a Premier League record £106.8m but the deal to bring him to Stamford Bridge already looks well placed. As opposed to the swathes of other signings under Todd Boehly-Clearlake, the Argentine has taken quickly to life in the Premier League and has shown glimpses of why he was valued so highly by Benfica.
Having been linked with a $100m (£80m) attempt to sign Jude Bellingham before the World Cup, the judgement in this case already looks a sound one, with the Athletic reporting a new $161m (£130m) price tag has been put on the 19-year-old.
In just five months that is quite the change and Chelsea have already secured themselves a midfield gem for less money in the mean time.

Carlo Ancelotti contract update
Carlo Ancelotti has revealed what his plans are for the future as Chelsea continue to be linked with the Italian great. With the managerial role still vacant at Stamford Bridge, Ancelotti's name has been put in the hat for a surprise return.
Given the speculation also pitting Ancelotti with taking over the Brazil national team, Ancelotti's stance heading into the last year of his contract in Spain has settled some debate but opened up other avenues.
"You want me to clear up my situation?," he said. "My situation, I have already said it, I don't like to speak about this but I said this in Spain and I repeat here. I have a contract here until 2024 and so I would like to stay in Real Madrid."

Ferdinand on huge Chelsea problem
Rio Ferdinand has claimed that Chelsea must prioritise signings which will solve the club's goalscoring issues. The Blues created numerous chances against Real Madrid in the Champions League quarter-final second-leg but they failed to beat Thibaut Courtois.
Speaking on BT Sport, the former Manchester United defender said: "They don’t score enough goals, that’s obvious. That team that started the game had 17 goals between them for the season – Benzema outscored that completely on his own, so that tells you where they’re at.
"Today in the first half they created chances, they had arguably the best chances in the first half, but they just didn’t have anyone to put the ball in the net and that’s been an issue. Recruitment in the summer is going to be massive for this football club - as much as they want to get players, to get people out. They’ve got to get players out to make sure there’s room to bring players in."
