James sends Southgate dig
Reece James has already revealed his disappointment at not being included in Gareth Southgate's England World Cup squad after the Englishman released a statement earlier in the week.
The 22-year-old has gone one step further and liked a Twitter post with quotes from Paul Merson backing James' frustration. In it, Merson said, "I just find it weird that Gareth Southgate is willing to gamble on Kalvin Phillips and Kyle Walker but not Reece James? If it was Harry Kane, he would be going - what's the difference?
"If it was Harry Kane, they would say, 'right we'll take him and use him after the group stages'. We need to take one of our best players. I just don't understand it. Reece James is as important as Harry Kane."

Endrick battle
Chelsea are prepared to meet Paris Saint-Germain's valuation for Brazilian superstar Endrick after the French giants had a £39million bid rejected for the 16-year-old.
The forward is one of the hottest properties on the market and can agree a pre deal with teams in 2023 as a host of Europe's top clubs all attempt to land the wonderkid.
With Christophe Galtier's side making the first move, Chelsea have already tried to influence their own position by having the player's parents come to Cobham with fellow countryman Thiago Silva having a key role.
Endrick's release clause stands at £52million and Chelsea are now likely to have to match PSG in order to get the player.

Loftus-Cheek off injured vs Newcastle
Ruben Loftus-Cheek was replaced by Thiago Silva inside the opening five minutes of Chelsea's clash with Newcastle United. The 26-year-old has done well to evade injury in recent times despite an injury-ridden past.
He went down unchallenged after beginning to limp, feeling discomfort in the lower leg region. The severity of Loftus-Cheek's knock remains to be seen but the midfielder was pictured to be clutching at his calf.
The Cobham graduate, who was once infamous for picking up knocks, has featured 19 times for Chelsea across all competitions this season, directly contributing towards one goal. With fewer injuries to worry about, Loftus-Cheek has become a key piece of the Blues success in recent times, operating at both centre-midfielder and right wing-back.
