Mount replacement
Chelsea look set to make an approach for Gabri Veiga once Manchester United complete the transfer of Mason Mount. The 24-year-old midfielder has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford recently amid an uncertain future at Stamford Bridge.
According to the Evening Standard, the Blues are expected to make an approach for Veiga once the Englishman's move to Old Trafford is completed. The report states that Chelsea's original plan was to sign just one defensive midfielder – whether it be Manuel Ugarte, who eventually joined Paris Saint-Germain, or Moises Caicedo.
But, after so many midfielders have left, Veiga has been considered and his £34.6million release clause is reportedly an 'attractive option'.

Mbappe message
Kylian Mbappe has been encouraged to hold out for a move to Chelsea if he wants to test himself in the Premier League. The 24-year-old forward faces an increasingly uncertain future at Paris Saint-Germain, with his contract at Les Parc des Princes set to expire at the end of next season.
Last month, Mbappe confirmed his decision to not extend his stay in the French capital beyond 2024, casting great doubt over his future ahead of the summer transfer window. According to L’Equipe, PSG were left angered at the manner of the France international's public announcement and, therefore, they'll consider selling him rather than risk losing him for free in 12 months time
Speaking to Genting Casino, Florent Malouda said: "I think he will try the Premier League, but right now, I don’t see any team apart from Manchester City that would attract him. It is not the right time for him to come to the Premier League. He should wait for Chelsea to come back to the top level before he considers a move to England (laughs)."

Ziyech deal collapses
Chelsea have been dealt another major blow to their hopes of offloading Hakim Ziyech. The 30-year-old winger has been heavily linked with an exit from Stamford Bridge for a while now after falling out of favour under several managers.
He looked set to join Edouard Mendy and N'Golo Kante in Saudi Arabia. But, according to the Evening Standard, an £8million transfer to Al-Nassr has collapsed.
The report states that Ziyech couldn't agree the final terms over a three-contract. As it stands, it's unclear whether the Saudi Arabian outfit will revisit a move for the Moroccan after he failed a medical too.
