Chelsea defender Marcos Alonso is planning to leave the club this summer, according to Fabrizio Romano. Barcelona have been heavily linked and the reporter claims that the left-back is in advanced talks with the Blaugrana.

That means that Emerson Palmeiri is set to return to Stamford Bridge from his loan at Lyon, potentially staying for the foreseeable future.

Frank Lampard ‘eyeing’ Chelsea youngster

Former Chelsea player and manager Frank Lampard is eyeing a move for Cobham youngster Levi Colwill this summer, according to reports. The ex-midfielder is currently in charge at Everton, managing to secure the Toffees’ Premier League status after a relegation threatened campaign.

Colwill - who has been likened to former captain John Terry - has impressed on loan at Huddersfield this season, with the Terriers due to face Nottingham Forest in the Championship play-off final at Wembley next weekend with a place in the Premier League on the line.

Thomas Tuchel names Premier League teams to compete with next season

Thomas Tuchel believes his Chelsea side will have to contend with Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United in the race for the Premier League next season, in addition to Liverpool and Manchester City. Pep Guardiola's side claimed this season's title on the final day with a dramatic victory over Aston Villa to deny Liverpool by a single point.

Tottenham on the other hand claimed their place in next season's Champions League with a comfortable victory over Norwich, while Manchester United edged into the Europa League despite defeat to Crystal Palace with new boss Erik ten Hag watching on. That defeat did little to persuade Tuchel that the Red Devils wouldn't be in the race however, with the Blues boss citing Antonio Conte as a major reason to expect Spurs to prove competitive next term.
