Chelsea news: Lionel Messi snub made after World Cup as three-man transfer shortlist revealed

Your Chelsea morning digest from football.london on Tuesday, December 20.

Messi snub

Brazilian World Cup legend Roberto Carlos left Lionel Messi out of a group of select players from the tournament, with Chelsea star Hakim Ziyech making the cut.

Messi won his first World Cup on Sunday after pioneering his Argentina side to a dramatic penalties victory following one of the best finals ever.

Three-man shortlist

Todd Boehly is continuing his recruitment drive towards young players at Chelsea and is targeting some of the best teenagers in the country.

After spending £52m on teenagers in the summer Boehly isn't prone to saving his money and has backed the club's pre-existing project during a time that promises much excitement for the fans.

Stamford Bridge offer

The bid for the land is reportedly around £50m. It is currently unknown if there are rivals for the land.
