If there's any method of kick-starting a football team, Chelsea need to find it fast.
The Blues were beaten 1-0 by Borussia Dortmund in their Champions League round-of-16 first-leg clash on Wednesday, with Karim Adeyemi's second-half strike proving the difference. Despite the result in Germany, Graham Potter felt it was a positive performance from his side and hopes that Chelsea can turn the tie around in three weeks' time amid their dismal 2023.
That match will no-doubt be a key point in Potter's timeline at Stamford Bridge, with the pressure mounting and making a deep run in the Champions League currently his most realistic avenue for success. Co-owner Todd Boehly is still willing to splash the cash, but the question of whether or not Potter will get to fully enjoy the fruits of such financial backing is looming larger.
Here's a round-up of the latest news from Stamford Bridge.
Dortmund boss gives Potter boost
Borussia Dortmund boss Edin Terzic believes that Chelsea gave their "best performance this year" during their 1-0 defeat to his side. The Blues shaded the possession and fired off 21 shots to Dortmund's 14, creating three big chances to their hosts' one which impressed Terzic.
"You can see the quality," the Dortmund boss told BT Sport. "I think it was maybe Chelsea's best performance this year. They were very good on the ball, especially in the second half. Chelsea have an incredible quality up front. There was a little bit of luck involved and we had an exceptional goalkeeper."

Chelsea braced for Bellingham scrap
Chelsea are ready to move heaven and Earth to sign Jude Bellingham this summer, it's been claimed. The teenage sensation helped Dortmund to victory on Wednesday by captaining Terzic's side, but is expected to leave for more than £100million this summer.
According to the Telegraph, Boehly wants to have Bellingham strutting his stuff at Stamford Bridge next season. The Chelsea hierarchy reportedly accept that they trail the likes of Real Madrid, Manchester United, Liverpool and Manchester City in the race for his signature, but the report adds that the Blues have already made contact with the player's entourage.

Carragher pulls Boehly's leg
Jamie Carragher didn't miss the opportunity to tease Todd Boehly over his extravagant spending after the loss in Germany. Boehly has sanctioned around £600m on transfers since becoming the Blues' co-owner last April, and Carragher has been a critic.
"It's just come through on social media," the Liverpool legend began on CBS Sports. "Todd Boehly's put a bid in for the whole squad of Dortmund." Carragher's joke left his fellow pundits, Micah Richards and Thierry Henry, in stitches.
