Chelsea are under more pressure than ever to get a result this weekend following what has been a horrendous run.
The Blues take on struggling Leeds at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon. Another adverse result under Graham Potter could see Chelsea drop into the bottom half of the Premier League and will likely put a final nail in the coffin of their already faint European hopes.
Their awful run has come amid the backdrop of a huge spend under new owner Todd Boehly, with the Premier League now responding to the club’s massive transfer outlay and whether that can be sustained. For all that and more, take a look at the latest Chelsea stories from Mirror Sport below:
Premier League chief hints at sales
Premier League chief executive Richard Masters has hinted that the Blues might be forced to sell some of their current stars if they want to keep spending at their current rate. Speaking at the Financial Times’ Business of Football Summit, he said: “I’m not here to defend.
“The new owners have had the club less than a year, they’ve had two transfer windows, you need to judge the football club after three or four years.
“They might have bought, I would argue, probably to a different transfer policy to the previous regime - younger players on longer contracts on lower wages - and obviously within our rules it’s a test over a 12-month period, so the question is whether they’re going to sell some of their players in the next window.”

Chelsea hit with Declan Rice blow
One of the players that the Blues had on their potential future shopping list was West Ham star Declan Rice but London rivals Arsenal appear to have a secret weapon in attempting to sign him. The Gunners apparently see Jack Wilshere as the key to them landing the England star.
The pair forged a close relationship during the former Arsenal midfielder’s time at the London Stadium towards the end of his career, something that the North Londoners could use to their benefit.
Caicedo drops social media hint
Another midfielder linked with a move to Chelsea over the past few months was Brighton star Moises Caicedo. He penned a statement on Instagram during the January window in an effort to force a move away from the Amex Stadium.
That did not come to fruition at the time with Caicedo since reintegrating himself with Brighton. He has taken action on social media though by appearing to delete his Instagram profile.
Arsenal were also interested in the 21-year-old and had multiple bids turned down by the Seagulls.
