Here is your Chelsea morning digest for Sunday, August 7.
Thiago Silva and Raheem Sterling impress in Chelsea's 1-0 opening day away win over Everton
Chelsea got their season off to the perfect start with a 1-0 away win over Everton at Goodison Park.
A first-half Jorginho penalty was enough to see Thomas Tuchel's Blues past former Chelsea boss Frank Lampard's Everton side, in a game that saw summer signings Raheem Sterling, Kalidou Koulibaly and Marc Cucurella all make their debuts.
Sterling and Koulibaly started the game while Cucurella made his debut off the bench, replacing the latter on 75 minutes.
While Everton threatened occasionally, it was in reality a comfortable win for the Blues. Sterling looked sharp while Thiago Silva was at his commanding best in the middle of Chelsea's back three.
But how did the rest of Chelsea's first team get on against Everton?
Here's what football.london's Scott Trotter made of the Blues' season opener.
Gary Neville makes Chelsea Premier League prediction and sets Thomas Tuchel and Todd Boehly task
Gary Neville says Chelsea are not 'stable' enough to finish in the Premier League top four this season as the former Man United defender set Thomas Tuchel and Todd Boehly a task to change his mind.
The Blues have had a summer of change with the ownership instability leading to Tuchel's side playing catch up in the transfer market.
While they have signed Raheem Sterling, Kalidou Koulibaly and Marc Cucurella, Tuchel and co are still keen on adding a few more faces to freshen up their squad.

And Chelsea's closest top four rivals have all improved their squads too, with Neville questioning whether the Blues have what it takes to finish in the Champions League places come the end of the season.
"Chelsea will have to prove it to us," said Neville on Sky Sports following Arsenal's 2-0 win over Crystal Palace.
"Manchester United are sort of the lesser out of those ones so Arsenal are in pole position. We’re writing off Chelsea, I’m writing off Chelsea because I just feel something’s not stable, we’ll see."
Rio Ferdinand and Martin Keown agree on Chelsea's Premier League chances after 'massive loss'
Rio Ferdinand and Martin Keown agree for different reasons that Chelsea will not be making the Premier League top four this season.
There's been plenty of changes both behind the scenes and on the pitch at Stamford Bridge this summer. Chelsea have seen key figures like Antonio Rudiger depart for Real Madrid but have been able to add experienced in the form of England international Raheem Sterling from Manchester City.
However, despite their recent transfer business, which has seen them land Kalidou Koulibaly and Marc Cucurella alongside Sterling, both Ferdinand and Keown believe Chelsea will miss out on the top four this season.
"I think they need more again and I think he's [Thomas Tuchel] very aware of that and it's not happening quick enough for them," Ferdinand told the Mirror.
"If they don't have any more movement in the window, I'd be worried about them."
Keown added: "Last season's top four will take some shifting, but potentially Chelsea look the most likely to fall out of it because of the players they have lost."
