Chelsea are facing a serious dilemma regarding Mason Mount's future at Stamford Bridge. The Blues have failed to come to an agreement with the England international as talks over a new contract continue with his current deal set to expire in 2024.
As football.london reported earlier this month, Liverpool have made the 24-year-old their priority transfer target this summer as Jurgen Klopp looks to reinforce his midfield options ahead of next season. Mount hasn't been anywhere near his best this season but his entourage still believe his wage package should be closer to some of the top earners at Chelsea given his performances over the last few years.
The Blues are looking to tie him down to a seven-year contract, while Mount's camp want a shorter deal so there is more room to negotiate in the future. Liverpool and Klopp are huge admirers of the England international and believe this summer presents an opportunity to possibly sign him at a reduced price due to his contract situation.
