Chelsea manager rules out Nottingham Forest transfer after £30m West Ham bid

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has admitted that they have "no interest in selling" striker Armando Broja amid interest from Nottingham Forest.

As Nottinghamshire Live first reported at the start of June, the Reds were understood to be considering a move for the former Southampton loanee following their promotion to the Premier League. The Albania international scored nine goals and assisted another on the south coast last season across all competitions.

The 20-year-old has returned to Chelsea this summer, and is currently on their pre-season tour to the United States of America. Their first friendly takes place in Las Vegas in the early hours of Sunday morning and ahead of that match against Club America at Allegiant Stadium, Tuchel has made the club's stance on the player clear.

"Armando is our player first of all and we have, at the moment, no interest in selling him," Tuchel told NottinghamshireLive's colleagues at Football.London. "He is here to make an impression after he was on loan in Southampton. That's his situation from where we look up front."

That comes despite reports from Sky Sports that West Ham United have bid £30 million for the forward, a claim which was put to Tuchel. "It's good if there's interest as it shows us there's talent and potential," Tuchel added. "It shows us that Armando is in the position to impress and become a Chelsea player. When will he become a Chelsea player? Nobody knows but hopefully as soon as possible.

"He got injured and there's a delay for him, which is never nice because a young player should normally make an impression from the first minute in pre-season. Now we have a bit of a delay in that but that's the situation.
