Chelsea have confirmed that they will play current National League side Wrexham in a pre-season friendly over the summer. The game is set to be part of the 2023 FC series, the club have announced.
A statement from Chelsea reads: "The fixture will take place on Wednesday 19 July, prior to our three Premier League Summer Series matches, and the venue will be the University of North Carolina’s 50,000-capacity Kenan Stadium."
The Blues had already confirmed their plans to face Brighton, Fulham and Newcastle on the east coast and have now added another date to their diary.

Wrexham have risen to prominence since being taken over by Hollywood stars Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds. They also look set to achieve promotion to the EFL for the first time in nearly two decades after a record-breaking season.
Upon the announcement, Chelsea president of business, Tom Glick, said: "We are delighted to return to North Carolina as part of our US tour this summer, and play in what I'm sure will be a fantastic atmosphere at Kenan Stadium.
"Our strong US fanbase support us incredibly all year round and we are looking forward to meeting them in Chapel Hill."
Chelsea also confirmed ticket news, adding: "There will be an exclusive two-day presale for Chelsea fans to purchase tickets anywhere in the stadium besides the organised supporters section and hospitality suites. Fans can access the presale here from 5pm UK time on Tuesday 25 April using the code BLUE.
"A portion of every ticket sold will be donated to the Pediatric Hematology Oncology Clinic at UNC Children’s Hospital."
