Reports suggest Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel will ignore Manchester United superstar Cristiano Ronaldo this summer and turn his attentions to wantaway Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski.
Speculation over Ronaldo and his Old Trafford future continues to mount 12 months after his sensational return to the place where all started on a global scale. Ronaldo, 37, wants to leave United this summer and did not jet out to Thailand with his teammates for the first leg of their pre-season tour due to a family issue.
Erik ten Hag, meanwhile, has outlined his intention to work with Ronaldo and insists the frontman will not be sold, amid ongoing links with Chelsea, Bayern Munich and other potential suitors.

Under new ownership, Chelsea are making moves this summer with Raheem Sterling expected to sign. However, with Romelu Lukaku returning to Inter Milan on loan, the Blues are interested in snapping-up a genuine number 9, too, and Ronaldo could fit the bill there.
Reports from CBS Sports Golazo journalist Ben Jacobs, though, suggest Lewandowski is now the preferred option for the west Londoners in that regard, though, despite Barcelona launching a bid for his services. Lewandowski will depart Bayern this summer after eight goal and trophy-packed years.
Elsewhere, it has been reported that United have held talks with representatives over a move for Bundesliga star Sasa Kalajdzic - although that stance has not been firmed up with an offer. Sky Germany credit United with strong interest in the 6ft 7in frontman.
Kalajdzic has been earmarked as a potential alternative to RB Leipzig striker, Brian Brobbey, who United expect to re-sign for Ajax. United want to snap up another striker in time for the season, especially with lingering question marks over Ronaldo.
Stuttgart player Kalajdzic, 25, was hampered by a shoulder injury last term. However, the Austrian still managed to score six goals in 15 appearances. He burst onto the European scene the season before last when he notched up 17 goals from 36 outings in all competitions.
