Chelsea are targeting a move for young Fulham midfielder Luke Harris as they seek to continue their investment in their academy.
The Blues have also agreed a new contract with young midfielder Charlie Webster.
Harris scored a hat-trick for Fulham in a 3-0 win over Chelsea in Premier League 2 last month and the 17-year-old is being lined up for a move across west London.
An attacking midfielder from Jersey, Harris models his game on Frank Lampard and has been tipped for a shock Wales call-up.
He has been on the bench for Fulham for three of their five Premier League games this season and made his senior debut in the Carabao Cup at Crawley last month.
Harris scored 13 goals in 17 league appearances for Fulham Under-23s last season.
Last month he scored a stunning hat-trick against a Chelsea side featuring Ben Chilwell and Trevoh Chalobah.
Chelsea spent over £40million on academy players over the summer and are also interested in Peterborough defender and Crystal Palace target Ronnie Edwards.
Palace had an offer of £4m plus £4m in add-ons rejected for the 19-year-old on deadline day.
Webster has agreed a new contract after excelling for Chelsea Under-21s in the last six months.
His contract renewal follows the key signings of Harvey Vale and Xavier Simons to new contracts, meaning Chelsea will avoid a repeat of the youth exodus in 2021 when Tino Livramento, Lewis Bate and Myles Peart Harris all left for other Premier League clubs.
