Chelsea are following up on some of their summer 2022 tricks as Todd Boehly continues his innovative transfer dealings. The new co-owner has done far more than just splash £250m on new players, as his new recruitment set-up is still being constructed but the pillars are in place for an active start to the year.
As the winter market opens up to teams, Chelsea promise to be amongst the busiest sides due to their need for extra reinforcements and overhaul across the pitch. Boehly recognised this over the summer and carried out a large volume of deals, but so far it hasn't worked out, with the Blues eighth in the Premier League table, 16 points behind leaders Arsenal.
It hasn't been for the want of trying though, with the interim sporting director attempting multiple ways of offloading and bringing in new players to boost the squad and results.
