Chelsea have already agreed £47m transfers after secret bid as Eden Hazard announces decision

Your morning Chelsea digest on Wednesday, June 21.

Eden Hazard decision

Chelsea great Eden Hazard has revealed his new hopes for what is to come in his career. The 32-year-old decided against seeing out his contract at Real Madrid after ending his time in Spain one year early.

Having left Chelsea for a deal worth £125million in 2019, Hazard scored just seven goals for Madrid across four years with just four of those coming in the league.

After he retired from international football following the 2022 World Cup in Qatar it was reported that he was then considering calling time on his playing days.

He has come out to deny such a choice. "I still feel capable of being a professional footballer, my body can take it," he told Belgium's RTBF. "I've been resting for two or three years, so I still have a bit of energy!"

Jackson is now discussing personal terms with Chelsea ahead of a proposed £29million move whereas Paez will join in two years after he turns 18.

Christopher Nkunku confirmed

Chelsea have confirmed the signing of RB Leipzig attacker Christopher Nkunku. The 25-year-old agreed to join the club in 2022 but an announcement was put back until the end of the season.

Upon moving for around £52million, Nkunku said: "I am incredibly happy to be joining Chelsea. A big effort was made to bring me to the club and I am looking forward to meeting my new coach and teammates and showing the Chelsea supporters what I can do on the pitch.

"Having played in Ligue 1 and the Bundesliga, I now want to play in the Premier League, one of the strongest leagues in the world. I am very excited for this challenge and will be proud to wear the Chelsea shirt."
