Chelsea have been handed a potential blueprint for their Champions League quarter-final after Real Madrid were beaten 3-2 by Villarreal in La Liga on Saturday evening.

Despite leading twice in the contest at the Bernebeu, late goals from Jose Morales and Samuel Chukwueze handed the Yellow Submarine all three points in the Spanish capital.

Frank Lampard's side travel to Madrid next week for the first leg of their UEFA Champions League quarter-final tie and will be bidding to cause an upset against the reigning European champions.
